Papillons blanc & accessibility<\/p>

Building an accessible app<\/h2><\/div>

Les Papillons Blancs du Nord enlisted BetterCallDave for an accessible app project aimed at parents with intellectual disabilities. The goal of this project was to create an app that enables young parents to carry out parental tasks such as giving a bottle or attending an appointment.

The main goal was to develop an accessible PWA that takes into account the needs of parents or future parents with intellectual disabilities, as well as the professionals who support them daily. <\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

This Progressive Web App project had to be accessible above all. I worked on it as a UX Designer. The first step was to understand the various needs and target audiences through discussions with professionals. Alongside these exchanges, observation journals were given to the professionals supporting the families to better understand the field. The goal was to collect authentic observations and gain deeper insight into needs and habits in order to create an app that is adapted and useful for as many people as possible.

The second phase involved reflecting on the key features and how to present them clearly. The design stage was a real challenge to bring to life the main concept of task management. Additionally, accessibility constraints had to be applied (contrast, font size, specific iconography, etc.). Tests conducted with both professionals and parents helped refine the mockups and create a prototype that met expectations.<\/span><\/p><\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
